Analysis Samples — Movie Industry

To demonstrate my analytical abilities, I examined the movie industry. Specifically, I analyzed the financial returns on movies based on their US revenues, costs, genre, and ratings as reported in IMDb.com.

The financial analysis led my conclusions of strategy suggestions for the movie industry. They are based on the numerous graphs and tables included in the paper.

Again, what follows is an example of my analytical abilities — data, numerical, and strategic — and serves as a writing sample. I have no special knowledge of the movie or entertainment industry. (In fact, I chose the movie industry because of the availability of data on IMDb.com and most people's basic intuition of the industry.) This is merely a sample of what I can do with some data.

I should note the Excel file has several PivotTables, so it is very large (4.2 MB at last check) and somewhat unstable.
